Great! So, where do I send the royalty check!
An interesting question is that even though "data transformation engines" are prior art, independently implemented by many vendors in their own way, but since it was not in public domain (leaving apart some open source data transformation engines, published papers, etc.), is it patentable? I have neither the time nor the money to challenge this patent as prior art, but can certainly send the 2% royalty check! This post would have been perfect for a Friday. Since what it describes is a set of features which have been present in many EDI systems for a couple of decades I suspect that it would be unenforceable on the grounds of prior art, but I am not a lawyer.
