Considering they started in a garage selling picture frames, and now they 
have many stores across the nation, it appears that they have planned well 
for growth.

Just a guess... But given their market, isn't it conceivable that they are 
in business for reasons that have nothing to do with fast-tracking it to 
the fortune 500?

I'm sure they've done the cost-benefit analysis on being closed, Sundays.

While I wasn't aware that Hobby Lobby isn't doing EDI, I'm still not 
surprised. Looks like it's just another business approach of their choice 
targeted at losing as much business as possible and minimizing their 
growth. I bet everyone's aware of their notion of "thinking of their 
employees" and having their sores closed on Sundays - one of the two days 
during which most of the working people can and prefer doing shopping.
