I did the exactly convention 4 or 5 years ago. My fist "test" was Windows Virtual Server 5 next I move my computer ti Hiper-V (I don't like windows runnig over windows) so I decide start over with VMware.
And now my EDI computers is running in a Vmware ESXi 5.1. You can start downloading the conversion software http://www.vmware.com/products/converter/overview.html next you will need install VMware Player. (I'm not so fan of Microsoft but you can use windows player also.) and that's it. if your EDI computer still using modem it will not work.
