EDI Coordinator
Location: Portland, OR
Duration: 3-6 months (possible convert to hire)
Start: ASAP

OVERVIEW:
As a member of the EDI team for distribution, the EDI Coordinator is 
responsible for understanding EDI Business needs and interfaces, verifying EDI 
client requirements, generating EDI test scripts, performing QA testing, and 
writing source to target definitions. The ideal candidate will coordinate the 
onboarding of new clients with direction from management and the demand 
management team (steering committee). This position will function as the 
contact for EDI client facing incidents, enhancements and production support. 
Other responsibilities will include the monitoring of inbound and outbound 
documents, working closely with trading partners to resolve any operational 
issues in a timely manner, and reporting on carrier compliance.

REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical 
Engineering or other related field or equivalent relevant experience required
5+ years of relevant work experience required, including at least two years of 
experience as an EDI Coordinator or Analyst.
Experience with SQL is required
Experience with traditional EDI structures such as ANSI X12 and EDIFACT is 
required.
Proficient ability to communicate effectively with others using written and 
spoken English with demonstrated proficiency with management of technical 
projects/programs..
Working ability to investigate issues and develop solutions independently.
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others; conducts working 
relationships in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization.
Proficient ability to work under demanding time constraints and production 
goals.
Some travel may be required.

PREFERRED:
Proficient knowledge of canonical data model concepts is preferred.
Proficiency with EDI mapping tools and trading partner configurations is 
desired.
Previous supply chain, logistics or transportation industry experience is 
desired.
Prior experience with Gentran 5.2 (Windows) and/or predecessor products is a 
plus.
Experience with Oracle database table structures is a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The ability to work on multiple client integrations simultaneously, with a 
focus on detail orientation and regular status updates with client facing teams 
as well as IT Management and COE.
Work closely with business analysts to insure high quality of EDI support
Clarify requirements and contribute to business decisions that lead to the 
right solutions based on the business capabilities.
A drive for results, with a demonstrable bias for action; high levels of 
maturity, and professionalism; giving, receiving and responding to feedback 
effectively.
