Hello one & all
Duet UEFI has been one of the best solutions for those who cannot avail of
a UEFI BIOS. Since my EEPROM Bios chip was quite small to incorporate the
UEFI BIOS I decided to set up the UEFI DUET on my HDD. Well googling a bit
I came across Rod Books BIOS to UEFI transformation & Migles BootDuet. I
first decided to test to ensure that they could setup successfully.
Getting to the Rod books setup seemed quick & easy but the ultimatum of
all, the boot up seemed unsuccessful . The initial tianocore UEFI would
appear but after then it would just freeze with a hyphen at startup. So I
switched to Migle BootDuet . Well there under Windows I followed the
instructions to set it up on a USB. The createUSB.cmd DUET BUILD presented
me with arguments for DUET_BUILD as EDK_UEFI32 , EDK_UEFI64 , EDK2_X86 ,
UDK_X64" Well I first began with UDK_X64 and that failed the same way as
the former Rod Books Setup. I changed the argument to
EDK_UEFI64 repreparing the USB and that was successful. Well I could then
conclude that the UDK_X64 (UDK UEFI 2.31) was a failure on both wherein the
EDK_UEFI64 ( UEFI 2.1) would then be success on Rod Books Builds. Well both
the setups were undertaken on a 32 bit OS.

Well any help would be greatly appreciated & honoured...............

A Many Thanks....

Frank
