Gents,

To follow-up on this earlier release message for EDK2 support on PandaBoard:
we're now able to boot a linux kernel on OMAP4 through UEFI framework.

Build instructions:
https://gitorious.org/omap-romcode/omap-edk2/blobs/master/PandaBoardPkg/readme.txt

Feel free to comment if facing any issue!

Regards,
Olivier.

Subject: [edk2] Introducing PandaBoardPkg

Hi All,

This short message to share my early work on porting EDK2 to PandaBoard (for
those who don’t know Panda is a TI OMAP4 2xCortex-A9 board).

I started from the existing BeagleBoardPkg (TI OMAP3) and adapted memory map to
OMAP4, included ArmPkg libs (thanks to Olivier Martin) to enable MPCore/Gic,
enabled firmware loading to external RAM by the ROM Code, etc.

I’ve published the packages into following tree:
git://gitorious.org/omap-romcode/omap-edk2.git
Web page: https://gitorious.org/omap-romcode/omap-edk2
Build instructions located here:
https://gitorious.org/omap-romcode/omap-edk2/blobs/master/PandaBoardPkg/readme.txt

It uses the following resources:
        -PandaBoardPkg/Omap44xxPkg from above git tree
-EDK2 snapshot from linaro git tree

Sure it's not perfect but at least goes to boot menu and is able to run EBL.
It can start a linux kernel with BDS loader, even though I did not find yet a
good recipe to share (should come very soon).

If you feel like trying it, pls let me know your comments, issues faced, ideas
for enhancements, etc.

Regards,
Olivier.
