The issue here is that when I use a tool to output the forms and strings of the background formset I get the the wrong strings/forms. (I get the forms/strings of the HII formset which I can see) [[[Eric]]] I think your tool has error about how to get the correct formset. Maybe you not input the formset guid for the background formset when you try to find it. If you don't input the formset guid, HII database may always return the first formset in this hii package list.
