Yeah, I think for this specific case your suggestion makes sense. I was
just wondering whether anyone had look into it in the past.

No doubt.

But it shouldn't be necessary to go for a full continuous integration
solution - a couple of boxes that pull the latest changes and build
them, mailing anyone mentioned in the commit log if the build fails
would be sufficient. You wouldn't even need any kind of build master
until you reached a critical mass of machines.
