There is just one factor to be defined?
And you have a set of proposed questions, just 15 or 20?
It seems like you should be able to look at your
correlation matrix, or unrotated PC analysis, or FA,
and drop the variables that are odd.
You add together the ones that are okay, and that's it.
Do you really need a second factor? Or more?
You might have to say why, before you figure out
which analysis to do, and how many factors to save.
