minitab DOES have a way (if i interpret your note correctly) to put either 
a confidence band or a prediction band ... around the simple bivariate 
regression line ... you decide which and, what level of confidence

there is a macro routine called %fitline ... and subcommands allow for 
these options ...

and a dialog box arrangement also is available
