If you did your arithmetic wrong, it is my own opinion that
you ought to be allowed to re-do it.

Can you? - I translate that as:   Will your 
editor/ reviewer/ thesis advisor/ boss  complain?  and
subsequently refuse to be convinced?  

Or, if you own a printing press, FOTP  means you can print
whatever you want.
