mulitvariate statistics. I was asked to post the recommendations, so here
they are.
SPSS Base 10.0 Applications Guide
This is publsihed by SPSS.
SPSS for windows step by step: a simple guide and reference 9.0 / Darren
George and Paul Mallery. This books comes with a disk of data sets and is
published by Allyn & Bacon.
Using SPSS for windows: analyzing and understanding data / S. Green, N.
Salkind, and T. Akey. It is published by Prentice Hall. It also comes
with a data disk.
Data analysis with SPSS / Stephen Sweet. This seems to cover only a few
advanced topics. It is published by Allyn & Bacon.
Multivariate data analysis / J. Hair, R. Anderson, R.
Tatham, & W. Black. It is published by Prentice Hall. Not a guide to SPSS
but recommended as a good source for multivariate methods.
Using multivariate statistics / Barbara Tabachnick and Linda Fidell. This
is published by Harper Collins. Not a lab guide per se. But it does come
with data sets, and it discusses computer output from several statistical
packages.
Computer-aided multivariate analysis / A.A. Afifi and V. Clark. This is
published by Chapman & Hall. Not a step-by-step guide; rather, it
discusses computer output from several statistical packages.
How to use SPSS / Cronk. Published by Pyrczak Publishing. I do not have
any more information on this book, and I was not able to find a website
for Pyrczak Publishing.
