Might I suggest that if William Chambers has anything of substance to
say about statistics - which he has not yet made clear - I for one would be
more inclined (and indeed able) to read it if he were to post it in a clear
and civilized form, without the invective, rhetorical questions,
_ad_hominem_ arguments, challenges, and conspiracy theory. The presentation
we've had so far would discredit the Quadratic Formula.

I realize that it is possible for somebody to write like a crackpot
without being one. However, when somebody begins by posting personal insults
and continues by claiming that their work is not recognized because people
are out to get them, one model does seem to explain most of the available
data. Yes, they laughed at Einstein, and they laughed at Louis de Branges.
They also laughed, rather more frequently, at Bozo the Clown.

PS: If the response to this is on the one hand another dose of the
same, or on the other hand an indignant accusation that we are trying to
steal his work, we will all know exactly what to think.
