with dean lapp's help at minitab and jon cryer's help at u of iowa ... here is some output from using mesh in minitab to GENERATE bivariate normal data and wireframe to PLOT the data ... go to the website of http://roberts.ed.psu.edu/users/droberts/introstat/ the first 3 jpg files are these ... when rho = .3, when rho = .7, and when rho = .99 (could not get it to run for rho = 1 ... out of bound values in the calculation algorithms) the one when rho = .99 is a bit jagged but, part of this is because if you make many more plotting points ... then plot the data .... while the graph looks smoother, it is more difficult to save the graph ... what i did was a compromise =========================================================================== This list is open to everyone.
