Another idea is to use LaTeX and then use TTH, which is another (much easier
to use) LaTeX to HTML converter, which doesn't use images, it uses HTML to
do fractions, square roots, etc. You can find it at:

PS: For square root it uses:

<font face=symbol>�</font>

and the method it uses for Xbar is to use a table 2x1 table with a
horizontal rule on the top cell, and the text on the bottom cell, in other
words, something like:

<tr><td><hr>
<tr><td><font face=symbol>�</font>(1-x<sup>2</sup>)
</table>
