Nicole,
The handbook of research synthesis / Harris Cooper and Larry Hedges,
published by the Russell Sage Foundation will give you information on
estimating effect sizes. There is also a chapter which discusses how to
handle multiple-treatment studies.
I have used DSTAT and found it easy to use. I have not tried the others,
so I can not offer a comparison.
