Position Statistician sp�cialized in spatial analysis Place National institute of Public health surveillance Environmental and health department H�pital National, 14 rue du Val d'Osne, 94410 Saint-Maurice France Job Description Environmental and health department purpose To coordinate and promote surveillance of health problems related to environmental risks To evaluate the impact of accidental and chronic pollution on health To provide a methodological help to the ministry in the field of environmental epidemiology and evaluation of risk To participate or promote training in environmental health To ensure health surveillance Assignements Under the authorityof the head of the Environmental and health department, the candidate will be responsible for The elaboration of the geographical studies protocols The analysis of spatial data The elaboration of reports and related articles Qualifications A postgraduate in biostatistics studies (MSc or PhD) If possible, at least 2 years work experience in spatial analysis In-depth knowledge of statistical software required; experience with SAS, S-Plus and Winbugs particularly helpful Review of applicants will begin on August 15, 2000 and will continue until the position is filled.
