Hi,
I don't know R, but once you know how to compute each effect and its
significance you should be able to make an Excel sheet in less than 1 hour,
plus 1 hour to check if the results of the calculations agree with examples
found in textbooks.
I've done some 2^n factorial design analysis using either Excel worksheet
functions or Excel add-ins (e-mail me if you need some tips).
best regards

Subject: 2-level factorial design manual analysis

I'd like to learn how to analyze a 4-factor, 2-level full-factorial
(and maybe fractional factorial) designs. My options at this moment
are:
1. Use Excel
2. Learn and use R

Could someone give me an estimate on how much time it will take
for me to accomplish either of these? I'm presently reading/reviewing
Statistics for Experimenters by Box, Hunter, Hunter.

Thanks for any info,
Brian
