given that is beginning fall semester at penn state (whatever happened to starting after labo(U)r day?) , this is just a reminder about ... i run a list called introstat-l (don burrill and others have been very helpful contributors) ... that has been operational since last february ... that is intended to be a email course in intro stat ... (now and then i post some graph, etc. on the web) this is different from most lists ... that operate on the basis of catch as catch can topics ... in no particular order ... being posted and responded to my list tries to go from the beginning ... to more advanced topics ... right now, we are just beginning in the area of inferential statistics ... if you know of any students who might have an interest in joining this list ... have a look at http://f05n16.cac.psu.edu/archives/introstat-l.html one nice thing about this is that all the archives are available via the web ... so, you can pick and select things that might be of most interest to you ... if you have questions ... let me know ================================================================= Instructions for joining and leaving this list and remarks about the problem of INAPPROPRIATE MESSAGES are available at http://jse.stat.ncsu.edu/ =================================================================
