given that is beginning fall semester at penn state (whatever happened to 
starting after labo(U)r day?) , this is just a reminder about ...

i run a list called introstat-l (don burrill and others have been very 
helpful contributors) ... that has been operational since last february ... 
that is intended to be a email course in intro stat ... (now and then i 
post some graph, etc. on the web)

this is different from most lists ... that operate on the basis of catch as 
catch can topics ... in no particular order ... being posted and responded to

my list tries to go from the beginning ... to more advanced topics ... 
right now, we are just beginning in the area of inferential statistics ...

if you know of any students who might have an interest in joining this list
