Enclosed is a description of a tenure-track position in
statistics in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at
Miami University. As you may know, Miami University is a
state-supported university with 16,000 students that is
located in southwest Ohio approximately 30 miles northwest of
Cincinnati. Our statistics core faculty currently includes
11 individuals with a diversity of interests. We are excited
about adding another statistics colleague to our ranks, and
we would be most grateful if you would share this
announcement with all interested parties.

Assistant Professor in Statistics
Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Statistics beginning
Fall, 2001. Doctoral degree in Statistics or Biostatistics by
August, 2001 required. In addition, excellent teaching and
research ability required. All research areas considered but
preference given to those with an interest in statistical
applications in the sciences, such as biology or ecology.
Willingness to teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate
courses is also desirable.
