UNIVERSITY OF WAIKATO - DEPARTMENT OF STATSITICS MARSDEN FUND SCHOLARSHIP Applications are invited for a Ph.D. scholarship in statistics. You will be part of a project team working on the design of variety trials, and will have the opportunity to contribute to new developments in experimental design and optimization methods. You should have an honours or masters degree. Some experience in computer programming (such as C or Pascal) would be advantageous. The group of investigators, who have all contributed extensively to the design of variety and other trials, are Professor Nye John and David Whitaker of the University of Waikato, Dr Emlyn Williams of CSIRO Forestry and Forest Products, Canberra and Associate Professor Ken Russell of the University of Wollongong.
