Other factors (such as age and visual acuity) notwithstanding it should be noted that
the butterfly ballot issue has no relevance to the recount issue. The recount was
called for because of the high rate of incompletely punched cards (I've heard circa
5%). The recount won't affect double punched cards (which are still inavlid at
recount), except possibly to increase the number of double punched ballots.
