for the simple one sample z test kind of case, for a population mean, i 
have a nice MINITAB macro that will draw overlapping H(0) and H(1) 
distributions ... if you input the H(0) and H(1) values, sigma, and the 
sample size. it assumes a 2 tailed .05 alpha test ...

this is a MINITAB macro ... so beware ...
