Can anyone supply me with a macro for Excel, Systat, Minitab,
or any other package that would take a variable; sum it, etc. and
spit out a Lorenz curve, a Gini coef., and the Gini SE?
If you, too, are also interested in such, say so and I'll
forward any solutions that authors release for broadcast.
Should any of you want a GW-BASIC GINI and SE, I can supply.
A bit of sociology: I'm a biologist. In biology publications
both the Lorenz curve and its one-number equivalent are very
rare. I've only published a few and seen only a few. Biologists
are not only illiterate in math, but like almost everyone else, in
graph.
