Dear all
I am a teacher of English trying to analyse the findings from an
experiment I conducted within the framework of my dissertation.

After establishing homogeneity in the level of knowledge of English
among a number of my students, I ended up with a group of 64
homegeneous (in the level of English) learners. I conducted a pretest
on a specific grammatical point. I chose the ones (24) who showed no
knowledge of the point whatsoever.

Afterwards I taught this point to those students in two different ways
and tested them (posttest) giving the exact same test I had used as a
pretest (they knew nothing about the first results).

What I want to find, is a proper model for analysing the findings.

I am an SPSS novice (I have spent hours downloading documents and
trying to get my hand to it), and my last hope is to get a some help
from a statistician.
Thank you
Vassilis Hartzoulakis
