I understand that the chi-square test used for variance hypothesis testing
requires the population to be normal and is not robust so the accuracy of
the test is seriously affected by non-normal populations.

I also know that the CLT says that sampling means are normally distributed.
Does the CLT help us out for chi-square tests on larger sample sizes?
