My apologies...I suppose "swallowed" is a little too harsh.  Maybe
"overshadowed" is a better choice?  Of course, that is just my opinion
and not based on any hard data.

NCSS is a decent package and does a few things easier than other
packages I've used. But, frankly, the only part of the NCSS "suite"
that I use on a regular basis is the PASS module which is my favorite
sample size package.  NCSS is similar in feel to SPSS, but I do
believe SPSS seems to have the edge in terms of marketing, thus my
statement about "swallowed up".

Sorry if this offended NCSS aficianados and developers since that
wasn't my intent.
