you can only do it in the describe command ... and, there is a subcommand called DECI ...

look at the following

MTB > desc c1

Descriptive Statistics: C1

Variable N Mean Median TrMean StDev SE Mean
C1 30 30.532 31.530 30.530 4.122 0.753

Variable Minimum Maximum Q1 Q3
C1 23.705 38.952 26.040 34.045

MTB > desc c1;
SUBC> deci 5.

Descriptive Statistics: C1

Variable N Mean Median TrMean StDev SE Mean
C1 30 30.53155 31.53014 30.52975 4.12185 0.75254

Variable Minimum Maximum Q1 Q3
C1 23.70501 38.95249 26.04035 34.04474

i don't think you really have any control over decimal places mtb uses and prints out ... other than this

How does one set the number of significant digits that Minitab outputs
in its describe command ?

In Splus, I would do something like options(digits=10).

Minitab is rounding my output too much and I want to put a stop to it.

Thanks!
