Hello. I am not a statistician but have a question about weighted ranking. Here's one example. Group1: A(11) Group2: B(12), C(4) Group3: D(15)
The numbers inside the brakets are frequency. And each group has certain weight, eg. 1 for Group1, 2 for Group2 and 3 for Group3. Then the actual ranking would be based on the muliplication of the weight and the frequency. eg. D(45),B(24),A(11), C(8). Could anybody tell me what this kind of statistics is called? Also it would be really appreciated if someone gives me references for this statistical analysis. Thank you very much.
