the buckley amendment ... ferpa ... of 1974 and later ... does not really speak to the issue of course related performance measures and what can be "posted" in a public way ...

the entire ferpa document seems to speak to "official records" that are maintained by the institution or department or unit ... that are in a student's folder ... and who has access to them and under what conditions ... so, one question is whether the scores that a professor has about his students ... being accumulated over a term ... and after all complete ... constitutes "official records" on the student

again ... i would appreciate any official document that states some ruling or federal policy about this matter ... in this specific context
