One has to careful here in generating correlated random number sets. For =
many random number generators, the serial correlation for 10000 number =
sets may be as high as 0.1. Hence if X is taken as all odd sequences and =
Y as even sequences, the Z values will not be correlated as expected. =
Widely spacing the selected values improves the randomness.
There are a lot of hidden problems with RNGs that the software companies =
will not disclose.
