me, he said "I have an easy statistical question." Red flags
immediately went up. The question may have been easy, but as your
responses have indicated, the answer is not.
A sidelight to my query was an exchange between Robert Dawson and Rich
Ulrich regarding the word "minuscule," a.k.a. "miniscule."
Interestingly, that word was recently the topic of Merriam-Webster's
Word of the Day, which is at
