fleeting illusory spurious short shelf life NON lasting strike while the fire is hot!
an example of this would be in a simple experiment ... E gets new method ... C gets old method ... they are measured at end of treatment ... TIME 1 ... and then a second posttest is given 2 months later at TIME 2 ... E has a substantial advantage at T1 but ... this difference dissipates to nearly NO difference ... at T2
