I have to use Minitab to generate data of 2 different distributions (>1000 data items each); one normal distribution and one non-normal. How do I use Minitab to generate data of these distributions?
this is can do easily ... for example ... say you want a nd with mu=40 and sigma = 4.
mtb> rand 1000 c1; subc> norm 40 4.
it has lots of NON normal distributions too ...
Also, how do I get minitab to generate all possible samples of size n (to be defined by me; I will need all possible samples for different values of n) from these sets of data?
i think jon cryer suggested that mtb can't do this ... and, i think he is right why would you want this?
Thanks for any help.
David
