this is can do easily ... for example ... say you want a nd with mu=40 and sigma = 4.


mtb> rand 1000 c1;
subc> norm 40 4.

it has lots of NON normal distributions too ...

defined by me; I will need all possible samples for different values of n)
from these sets of data?

i think jon cryer suggested that mtb can't do this ... and, i think he is right why would you want this?
