Hi,

I am a relative novice in the realm os statistics.
I need direction ou suggestion on the fallowing question:

I have two data set comimg from a survey of a sample of 80 people: 1) 40:
the reference population; ii) 40: the tratment population.
I need to know if the reference population is adquate for my study. For
that, i build two tables:

Reference:
-----------------------------------------------
ID , Sex, Age, Economic Situation, ....
-----------------------------------------------
1 , M, 20, Good, ...
2, F , 23, Bad, ....
....
40 , M, 45, Average, ...
--------------------------------------------------

Treatment:
-----------------------------------
ID , Sex, Age, Economic Situation, ....
------------------------------------
41 , F, 22, Very Good, ...
42, M , 34, Good, ....
....
80 , M, 36, Bad, ...
---------------------------------

What is the best test for compare this set of independent variables?
