Of interest is the recent article in TAS (August 2003) by Hubbbard and Bayarri "Confusion Over Measures of Evidence (p's) versus Errors (alpha's) in Classical Statistical Testing".
Also of interest is the article by Ronald C. Serlin, "Constructive Criticism" in the Journal of Modern Applied Statistical Methods, Fall 2002, Vol, No. 2, pages 202-237 (available from the internet).
I have not been able to find the above references. Our libraries at the UIUC do not recognize the journals, and an author search in the MathSciNet database did not find these articles, either. The titles are intriguing and topic relevant to my interests, so I would be grateful if anyone could provide better directions to these sources. Thanks,
