Hi, I am trying to do a regression on a data set with a fixed intercept at some number (75) other than zero, the problem is that the package I am using can fix the intercept only at the origin. To overcome this problem I subtracted from each y in the dataset 75 and performed the regression. Of course the slope coefficient shouldnt change with the new dataset, I finally added to the resulting regression equation 75. Is that valid?
