In my experience, when a student has difficulty with an introductory
statistics class, the problem is more often related to problems with logical
reasoning than with mathematics preparation. It should not be too difficult
to find an instrument to measure logical reasoning. Among my graduate
students in Psychology, the analytic score on the GRE has been a better
predictor of their performance than their scores on the verbal and math
sections of the GRE have been.

Subject: Statistics readiness test

Greetings,

I 'm hoping someone has a link to a test that would be given to incoming
college students to measure their level of readiness for a typical stats
course. The tests that I am familiar with are more suited to placing
students in algebra, calculus, or other math courses. What I am looking
for would be a test that is geared specifically toward statistics.

Thanks for the help.
