Dear EdStat readers,
As I announced on April 6, I am leaving NC State University for a position at Meredith College and will be unable to continue as EdStat listowner in my new position.
Dennis Roberts, a long-time contributor to the EdStat list, has generously offered to take over as listowner. Dennis has set up a new LISTSERV list called EDSTAT-L at Penn State University. You may subscribe to the new list using a web interface at http://lists.psu.edu/archives/edstat-l.html. Many subscription types and settings are available, including a digest version and a no-mail option.
The web interface is very easy to use, and we recommend that you subscribe that way. Alternatively, you may subscribe by sending e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No subject or message text is required. The system picks up your name and address from the e-mail header.
Only subscribers will be able to post to the new list. There will NOT be a gateway between the new list and the sci.stat.edu newsgroup.
Please subscribe to the new list NOW and start sending your messages there! Note that Dennis and I have decided NOT to sign up current subscribers to the new list ourselves. We prefer that YOU subscribe yourself so that you can choose your own subscription settings.
On June 9, I will stop forwarding messages from nonsubscribers to the NC
State list. I will also unsubscribe the sci.stat.edu newsgroup from the list on that date. That means that as of June 9, the gateway between the list and the newsgroup will be effectively disabled. On June 21, the NC State list will be discontinued completely.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
