Insert Debian CD in to CD/DVD rom, And install LILO/GRUB bootloader on "MBR" of 
your hard disk drive. How OpenSolaris 10 looks ? It automatiicaly installed 
drivers for ethernet etc etc ? Just curious. I also have IBM ThinkPad R50e . 
It's Centrino based.
