Hi Teresa, True, the presentation is high-level, but I think it's a good introduction for new users.
For more in-depth presentations and examples, I looked around and found the excellent DeepDive ones at mediacast.sun.com. They're not very easy to find, though. The same is true about the http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/documentation/getting_started_docs/ page. In my view, the "getting_started_docs" should be linked on the main page somwhere and the DeepDive presentations should have a place in the page. Thank you for your help, Vlad. > Hi Vlad, > > I know Gary has already sent you a couple of things. > You've > probably already noticed that they are fairly high > level > presentations of (Open)Solaris and how it might be > used in a > university setting. > > I'll poke around a bit here in Solaris engineering > and see if there is > anything that can be used in a workshop environment. > > Will keep you posted, > T > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Vlad Grama <vgrama at gmail.com> > Date: Friday, September 16, 2005 5:23 am > Subject: [edu-discuss] Opensolaris presentation ? > > > Hello, > > > > I am a sysadmin working at the HPC lab we have > here at > > University Politehnica, in Bucharest. > > > > At the beginning of each academic year, fresh > students learn > about the > > facilities we have and their learning > opportunities.
