I know I've been fairly low-key on the list lately, but I'm still following along with interest. Toby, The state of python IDEs is something that comes up a lot, especially on the mac-python list (where the choices are even more limited). I'm looking forward to Komodo being available for OS X, but if you're on another platform it's worth trying out. If you like Eclipse, I understand their Python plugins are shaping up nicely. There are a *ton* of Python IDEs, and I haven't evaluated them all (or any very deeply, I'm more of a Catholic using TextWrangler and Vim), but in large part it depends on what features you're looking for. Some of the Python IDEs are very living products--if it does 80-90% of what you need, but is missing a feature or two that would really make it shine for you, a little feedback to the developers can go a long way. On the mac-python list I've seen IDE developers come and ask what our wishlist features are to guide their development.
