You have been subscribed to a public bug:
in opt/ltsp/i386/etc/apt/source.list, the first line was that:
http://ftpmaster.internal/ubuntu
that prevented the chroot environment to get network connection. After
eliminating it, I had to copy /etc/resolf.conf too to
/opt/ltsp/i386/etc/resolv.conf and only after that the networking became ok.
