To reproduce do this:
Start pencil (0.5)
draw a line
add a keyframe on 2 and draw a line there too
click on the loop button then play
whilst it's playing, go to file>New and click no
Now when drawing, the line only appears once the mouse/pen is released,
but not whilst drawing.
** Affects: pencil (Ubuntu)
