Meanwhile, I created a ppa with the newest version 23.12.1, see https://launchpad.net/~hackie/+archive/ubuntu/anki/
Just packaging a new version seems difficult because the pipeline seems complex (https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=958853), so I took a different approach and re-packaged the binary distribution. I don't think invalidating this bug is the correct way to react. I think, this is a legitimate issue, as the old version is nearly unusable (because of this: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi- bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1010900) ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #958853 https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=958853 ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #1010900 https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1010900 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Edubuntu Bugsquad, which is subscribed to anki in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2051397 Title: There is a newer version To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/anki/+bug/2051397/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~edubuntu-bugs Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~edubuntu-bugs More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
