Mediawiki has these tags built-in. Edit a page on http://en.wikipedia.org and
look at the top of the editor. I think it's only a matter of time before
Moinwiki catches up.
Hopefully they will go one step better than that and provide the option of
using a full WYSIWYG editor (for those who want to). This is discussed in
the case of wikipedia here: http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/WYSIWYG_editor
. For anyone who hasn't seen a 'rich' editor inside a browser, the
FCKEditor demo at http://www.fckeditor.net/demo/default.html is a good
example of what can be done now -- the editor that opens on that page is
live, not a screenshot.
