Hey Harry,

I'm going to try and tackle local device support using
http://www.unicolet.org/linux/ltsp.html as a reference. It looks quite
promising as Jeff Casimir pointed out. I'm guessing smbfs support will
be easy to integrate into Edubuntu... apt-get install smbfs. heh. If
you want to help me with finding out what kind of files and such need
to be created for GNOME's Nautilus to show the appropriate mount
points I would appreciate it. Feel free to delve further into the
experiment if you wish. :-)
