This sounds like something (we) Edubuntu should get involved in... JaneW

Date: Mon, 5 Jun 2006 10:34:59 -0700 Hi All, While this doesn't quite impact this group, I wanted to entertain the idea of finding a few of you to get a board level prototype of the one laptop per child machine to see if your applications can run well on it. I don't have a lot of these, and the actual laptop likely won't ship for some time, but I want to make sure that you folks have the opportunity to think about and perhaps experiemnt on them. Next year, I actually want to give one to each student during the soc and 2 per org as soon as they are ready to ship or something, but they won't be ready in time to do that this year. Anyhow, email soc2006support if you are interested, but remember that we have very few of these kits available to us, so you should be -really- really- really- interested, as if you think it will just rot in your parts box, that is a kit that may be of better use to another person on this list.
