I presume you are not using adapter teaming which is the difference.  The 
teaming seemed
to confuse NM to where it did not think it had a valid address which launched 
the applet
and gave the users ability to change things.  There most likely isn't very many 
users
using teaming so this only applies to oddballs like me :-)
