I've had no success contacting people directly regarding abiword - Sugar needs it built with --enable-libabiword so we can package pyabiword - so I've filed https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/abiword/+bug/320440 and https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/abiword/+bug/320443.
